Documentation for FLOW isentropic gas flow equation Solver.
Denis Hayner 11/11/90
Solves four related isentropic flow equations:
- Total and static pressures vs Mach no.
- Total and static temperatures vs Mach no.
- Mass flow vs pressure, temperature, and area
- Velocity vs temperature and Mach no.
Default constants set for air: K=1.4, R=53.3 (and G=32.174).
Press directory FLOW key, then the Solve key. Current
equation should be F.EQ; if not, press CAT and select it.
Press SOLVR. Now press NXEQ (may have to press NXT first)
until an equation comes up that has only one unknown,
among those listed above, in your case.
Input each known by keying in its value, then pressing the
key for that variable. You can see what is in any variable
by pressing right-shift, then the variable key, or REVIEW
for all variables. Solve for the unknown by pressing left-
shift, then the variable key.
Now you can solve for any remaining unknown by pressing NXEQ
until an equation containing it appears; then pressing left-
shift, then the variable key. Continue until you've solved
for all the unknowns.
